Salsa de Chile Pasilla y Vino Tinto para Tacos de Carne Asada

The combination of chili and wine is much tastier than you think; this sauce proves it.

INGREDIENTS

1½ tablespoons canola oil

½ chopped onion

30 grams of chile pasilla, cleaned and boiled

125 grams tomato

1 garlic clove

325 ml red wine

150 ml water

½ teaspoon dried fines herbes

Salt and pepper        

 

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Heat the tomato, chilies, onion and garlic until everything is smooth.
  2. Add wine and water and cook for 10 minutes.
  3. Add herbs and cook for 5 more minutes
  4. Serve warm or cold to accompany carne asada tacos or chicken. Enjoy!
